It was on a beautiful Thursday morning 28th May 2015 at Bosasa Development Center in Krugersdorp where Creating Positive Mindsets was invited by the center manager Mr Luxolo Malindi to talk to his staff. As usual, our aim was to first create a positive mind-set before we could instil a sense of motive. Remember that “motive” is an emotional thing, you can never come carrying it and embed it into someone else. It is for that reason we need to create a platform first for that to find itself a place to embed.
Mr Rawane broke the ice and while the ice was melting which happened very fast, our own Palesa had to run the floor with the mob because the water from the melting ice was filling the whole room. When that was getting out of hand, Tshepiso had to wrap it up clearing the mobs and putting everything where it belonged.
It was indeed a busy morning having to create an environment, make people interact and get them to realise their WHY and focus towards living a purposeful life.
Enough was said about self -love and appreciating while showing gratitude to the person next to you, because everything we have now and what we still going to have in future come from someone else.
It was easy to relate to them that, general workers are there because of the children who are brought there not by choice. Supervisors are there to look after the general workers and the managers are there to manage the supervisors. So, you will realise that everyone needs one another to survive.
It became also important for the environment and also for the problem statement for management to ask themselves a few questions
With the above questions, one was forced to answer them honestly and the answers to the questions help one to treat each other with caution and more respect because it is that person’s being that helped you be where you are.
The way in which management should build a relationship between themselves and the employees because the employees knows a lot about what goes on in their workplace and in their work. A good relationship was also pointed out between employees themselves in order to make work easier. Management improvement was emphasized because as long as the management level lacks positivity and appreciation of staff then it is going to be difficult for the staff to improve their moral.
Mr Luxolo and his staff were very happy with our indulgence and emphasized that he would really like to see us again getting deeper with his staff and management to better their work and also for the sake of those children they are serving.
Come with us again when we will be talking about Positive Mental Attitude with Bosasa, because attitude is everything……….. Creating Positive Mindsets
